Democratic Rep. Jacky Rosen has defeated Republican Sen. Dean Heller in the Nevada senate race.
Heller held a slight lead over Rosen in polling ahead of the election, despite Hillary Clinton taking Nevada in the 2016 election.
President Donald Trump visited Nevada in October to campaign for Heller. Just two days later, former President Barack Obama also made a visit to the state to stump for Rosen.
Rosen was elected to the House of Representatives for the first time in 2016.
