On Friday, a federal judge revoked Manafort's bail and ordered him to jail to await trial after special counsel Robert Mueller accused him of witness tampering.

CNN quotes the judge as saying: "I thought about this long and hard, Mr. Manafort. I have no appetite for this."

Manafort is facing multiple charges, including allegations of money laundering, tax evasion, conspiracy to obstruct justice and failure to register as a foreign agent.
