Melania Trump's First Solo Trip Abroad As First Lady Is On The Books
Melania Trump will head to Toronto to lead the U.S. delegation at the 2017 Invictus Games in September.

First lady Melania Trump spoke about the next generation at a luncheon she hosted at the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday. Spouses of many world leaders were in attendance.
"We need to step up, come together and ensure that our children's future is bright," Trump said.
Trump said the "most important and joyous role" she's had is being a mother to her 11-year-old son Barron. And she stressed the paramount role parents play in shaping their children.
"We must remember that they are watching and listening, so we must never miss an opportunity to teach life's many ethical lessons along the way. As adults, we are not merely responsible, we're accountable," Trump said.
Trump's speech touched on her 2016 promise to use her position as first lady to fight cyberbullying, noting that "no child should ever feel hungry, stalked, frightened, terrorized, bullied, isolated or afraid, with nowhere to turn."
She said she'd be reaching out to those who attended the luncheon as well as leaders on social media for their help and guidance in supporting children around the world.
