At the Conservative Political Action Conference on Thursday, Vice President Mike Pence addressed the Feb. 14 school shooting in Parkland, Florida.
"We will make America safe again, we will make America prosperous again, and to borrow a phrase, we will make America great again," Pence said.
He said the Trump administration will make safety in the nation's schools a top priority.
"We'll pray for God's wisdom, that all of us in positions of authority might find a way to come together with American solutions to confront and end this evil in our time," Pence said.
He also touted what the Trump administration has done in the past year, including passing the tax reform bill, removing the United States from the Paris climate accord and recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
