The NBA Doesn't Want Players Protesting The National Anthem
A letter to players mentioned "meaningful action" in regard to speaking out against recent police violence.

Colin Kaepernick still doesn't have an NFL team. But that's going to change, if you believe one NFL coach.
Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said his team looked into signing Kaepernick. They decided not to, but Carroll had some kind words for the veteran.
"Colin's been a fantastic football player, and he's going to continue to be. At this time, we didn't do anything with it," Carroll said at a press conference. "We have a starter. But he's a starter in this league, and I can't imagine somebody won't give him a chance to play."
Kaepernick, of course, made headlines for repeatedly taking a knee during the national anthem last season to protest racial injustice.
Keep in mind, Kaepernick has started 64 games over six NFL seasons, including a Super Bowl in 2013. This has made some folks wonder why he's been passed up for backup jobs over other, less-proven quarterbacks.
"If Blaine Gabbert gets a job ahead of him then something's screwy here, because that should not happen," Mercury News columnist Tim Kawakami told ESPN's Scott Van Pelt. "I'm not sure what's going to happen with Colin Kaepernick, just because of all the other things. ... Maybe NFL owners and GMs aren't comfortable with him, and I think that's the wrong decision."
In the meantime, Kaepernick is following through on his pledge to donate a million dollars to charity organizations. He announced another $100,000 in donations on the same day as Pete Carroll's press conference.
