Police in California issued an Amber Alert early Saturday after four kids were allegedly taken from their grandmother's Los Angeles area home.

Police say they believe the four kids' non-custodial parents took them from the house just after noon Friday. The four missing kids are reportedly 7 and 5-year-old boys and twin 1-year-old girls. (Via KNBC)

KCBS reports the father, 28-year-old Enrique Felix, allegedly beat the mother and four kids in the past, and that's why the kids were put in their maternal grandmother's custody.

Police believe the four siblings could be in danger. The Los Angeles Police Department held a news conference Friday night asking for Felix and the mother, Rose Chairez, to bring the kids back.

"The safety of the children is primary here, and I think in this case, I'm asking you to do the right thing and bring the children in if you're watching." (Via KABC

Police say the suspects were driving in a dark PT Cruiser with dark tinted windows and no license plates after they allegedly abducted the kids. According to KCBS, police believe the car could be headed for Mexico.
