According to reports, during a call with campaign staff Monday, the president called Fauci a "disaster."
During his trip to Arizona Monday, President Donald Trump continued to criticize Dr. Anthony Fauci and insisted Joe Biden would listen too closely to the leading infectious disease doctor.
"He wants to listen to Dr. Fauci. Wants to listen to Dr. Fauci. And don't forget, Dr. Fauci, what he said is, no, no, don't close China. I said, I'm sorry, doctor. You're a wonderful man. And he is a nice man. You're a wonderful man. I'm closing it," said President Trump.
The president again falsely claimed he banned travel from China, when in fact he placed some restrictions on travel from certain parts of China to the U.S.
