It's looking more likely that Sandra Fluke will run for Congress.
If that name sounds familiar, you probably remember her from these congressional hearings back in 2012 when she advocated for mandated contraception coverage under the Affordable Care Act. (Via C-SPAN)
That led to these now-infamous insults hurled by radio host Rush Limbaugh.

The 32-year-old has since graduated from Georgetown Law and now lives in Los Angeles. Her advocacy for reproductive rights has earned her time on the national stage, scoring an invite to speak at the Democratic National Convention in 2012. (Via ABC, The Wall Street Journal)

And while she hasn't made an announcement yet, Fluke has filed the necessary paperwork with the California Democratic Party to run for a House seat in California's 33rd district.

Since then, a number of prominent state Democrats have signaled their interest in replacing him — including LA's former city controller Wendy Greuel and state Senator Ted Lieu.
The Washington Post’s Aaron Blake writes that although Fluke might face a crowded field, she has at least one key advantage: "[She] presents something of an x-factor. She's not as well-known locally … but has a national profile thanks to her advocacy on contraception coverage."
A spokesperson for Fluke told Politico Fluke hasn't made any decisions yet but filed the necessary paperwork in the event that she does choose to run.
