McCain: Trump Should Provide Evidence For Wiretap Claim Or Retract It
The White House has until Monday to present evidence of Trump's claim to the House Intelligence Committee.

A day after the House Intelligence Committee said it couldn't find any evidence Trump Tower was wiretapped, the Senate Intelligence Committee came to the exact same conclusion.
Republican Chairman Sen. Richard Burr issued a joint statement with Democratic Vice Chairman Sen. Mark Warner. The one-sentence statement said there were "no indications that Trump Tower was the subject of surveillance by any element of the United States government either before or after Election Day 2016."
So far, almost no one outside the White House has been willing to back up President Trump's claims that former President Obama listened to his private conversations before the election.
But Trump has refused to back down since posting the string of accusatory tweets. He maintains he has proof he was spied on in some way.
"'Wiretap' covers a lot of different things. I think you're going to find some very interesting items coming to the forefront over the next two weeks," Trump told Tucker Carlson on Fox News.
FBI Director James Comey could officially put the issue to bed at a public hearing in front of the House panel next week.
