President Donald Trump has called for an additional $100 billion in tariffs on Chinese goods, ratcheting up a trade dispute with Beijing.
China imposed tariffs on $50 billion worth of American goods, like airplanes, cars and agricultural products. Those tariffs were in retaliation to tariffs Trump ordered on $50 billion worth of Chinese imports.
The new tariffs will reportedly target Chinese robotics, communication technology and information tech.
Wall Street reacted following the news, with the Dow futures dropping 400 points in after-hours trading.
