President Donald Trump announced on Twitter he is replacing Secretary of Veterans Affairs David Shulkin.
Trump said he intends to nominate Adm. Ronny Jackson, who's been physician to the president since 2013.

....In the interim, Hon. Robert Wilkie of DOD will serve as Acting Secretary. I am thankful for Dr. David Shulkin’s service to our country and to our GREAT VETERANS!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 28, 2018
In the meantime, Trump said Robert Wilkie will serve as acting secretary. Wilkie is currently under secretary of defense for personnel and readiness.
Trump said he was thankful for Shulkin's service, despite long-standing rumors the president was dissatisfied with Shulkin's public tensions with his own staff, alleged ethics violations and conversations with the media.
