Lori Jane is a senior investigative correspondent for Scripps News. She is known for her commitment to ethical journalism and her ability to shine a light on complex issues with thorough investigative reporting. She conducts in-depth research and rigorously questions authority to uncover important stories that inform the public.
At Scripps News, Lori Jane and her team won the prestigious duPont-Columbia Award for their in-depth investigation into Maine’s deadliest mass shooting. She also previously was named a finalist for her work investigating the death of Elijah McClain, a young Colorado man who was subdued by police and injected, by a paramedic, with ketamine before he died. Lori Jane has been honored with two national Edward R. Murrow Awards and multiple Emmy and Gracie Awards for many of her investigations.
Before joining Scripps News, Lori Jane was an investigative reporter for FOX31 in Denver and for Rocky Mountain PBS. She also served as a national correspondent for America Tonight, the flagship news magazine show on Al Jazeera America. Lori Jane began her career in local television, working at stations affiliated with ABC, NBC, and CBS in Arizona and Michigan. She graduated as the Outstanding Broadcast Journalism Undergraduate from the University of Southern California.
