Crane, an Emmy Award-winning television sportscaster, has more than three decades of experience spent mostly as a sports anchor, reporter and play-by-play announcer, including three years of professional basketball in India. He’s also worked for regional sports networks including: Fox Sports Net, Comcast Sports Southeast and Cox Sports Television – where he hosted the New Orleans Saints TV show for nine seasons. Crane also served as a sports director for several local television stations, including KDFW in Dallas.

Crane works closely with Scripps News sports reporters located in more than 50 cities across the country, who live and work in the communities they cover.

“Our sports reporting at Scripps News is not driven by scores and highlights which can be found in hundreds of other places. It’s driven by providing insight and information from something that touches every person, in every walk of life, in one way or another.

Covering sports has literally taken me across the country and around the world. It has allowed me to witness some of the biggest events and speak with some of the greatest athletes our games have ever known. All the while, I have appreciated every moment and continue to look forward to what comes next.”
