Police say one person is dead and another is in custody after a shooting on Purdue University's campus in Indiana Tuesday afternoon.
According to local station WRTV, authorities confirmed the shooting occurred at the university's electrical engineering building, which is reportedly at the center of campus and near administration buildings.
Police say they have one person in custody, but CNN reports authorities are continuing to search the Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering and nearby areas.

Purdue officials also confirmed the news via Twitter and warned people to seek shelter and stay there until further notice.
According to the Journal and Courier, two students near the area at the time of the shooting reported hearing what sounded like two shots and saw someone who might have had blood on his or her hands.
But a few hours later, a university spokesperson told Fox News there was no threat on campus any longer and the shelter-in-place order had been lifted.
