"The American people know better. Obamacare has failed and Obamacare must go," Vice President Mike Pence said in his CPAC speech.

That's what Pence had to say about Obamacare on Thursday.

But over the weekend, supporters of the Affordable Care Act were out in force across the country to protest Republican plans to repeal and replace it.

The protests come as public opinion seems to be swinging back in favor of Obamacare. Two opinion polls out this past week — one from the Pew Research Center and the other from the Kaiser Family Foundation — show more Americans are in favor of the law than against it.

The Pew Research poll found a record number of people approve the law — 54 percent. The Kaiser Family Foundation reported a bit less at 48 percent, with 42 percent having an unfavorable view. Ten percent answered "don't know" or refused to answer.

For the most part, both polls show exactly what you'd expect: feelings about the Affordable Care Act are divided down party lines.

But according to the Kaiser Family Foundation, this is the first time since 2010 that more independent voters have had a favorable view of the law than an unfavorable one.
