A Disneyland visitor was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, and two others were hurt after a light pole fell over in the amusement park.

Sgt. Jon McClintock, public information officer with Anaheim Public Safety, confirmed the news to CNN.

Anaheim Fire and Rescue responded to the scene around 8:30 a.m. Monday to find the downed pole and three people with injuries.

The two people who were not hospitalized were treated at the scene for minor injuries and released, McClintock said. It was not clear what injuries they had sustained.

Authorities believe strong winds are to blame for the downed light pole.

The National Weather Service issued a strong wind advisory on Monday morning. In a post on X, NWS Los Angeles warned of high winds continuing into Tuesday.

The lamppost was located in a flower bed around the Disneyland flag pole, and was used for stage lighting for parades and shows along the main square, according to The Orange County Register

The fallen lamppost was removed from the park at around 10 a.m. Monday, according to WDW News Today
