Miranda Barbour, the 19-year-old woman accused of murdering a Pennsylvania man for fun in November, now claims she's a serial killer.

In a jailhouse interview with local newspaper The Daily Item, Barbour said she's responsible for dozens of murders across the country. "When I hit 22, I stopped counting. ... I can pinpoint on a map where you can find them."

Barbour also opened up about her past during the interview, saying she was molested at age 4 and began killing after she joined a Satanic cult in Alaska at age 13.

Barbour, along with her newlywed husband Elytte, are accused of luring 42-year-old Troy LaFerrara to his death via an ad on Craigslist. The couple allegedly attacked LaFerrara as he sat in their car, Elytte strangling him with a cord as Miranda stabbed him about 20 times. (Via WNEP)

Pennsylvania police eventually arrested Barbour and her husband in December after combing through LaFerrara's phone records. The New York Post notes cops are accusing the couple of killing LaFerrara for fun, pointing out they went to a strip club shortly after the murder.

In a statement to the press, Sunbury Police Chief said his office is currently investigating Barbour's statements. "From information we gathered and information gathered from her interview we are seriously concerned and have been in contact with the proper authorities." (Via American Live Wire)

Both Miranda and Elytte have formally pleaded not guilty to LaFerrara's murder. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
