Amazon and other tech companies are facing pressure to pull the National Rifle Association's NRATV from their streaming platforms.

On Thursday, a number of celebrities began tweeting the hashtag #StopNRAmazon. And on Friday a petition was launched to ask Amazon to stop distributing NRATV.

The NRA says its programing is meant to provide "comprehensive coverage" of firearm-related issues. A 2017 Media Mattersanalysis found NRAtv often strays to "far-right" talking points unrelated to guns.

Other streaming platforms like Google Chromecast, Apple TV and Roku currently offer NRATV for download, and they're facing similar pressure to take it down.

A number of other companies are already cutting ties with the NRA after the hashtag #BoycottNRA gained support on Twitter.
