Police are frantically searching for a 14-year-old girl from Washington state who they believe was kidnapped and could possibly be on the way to Mexico.
"An Amber Alert in effect today for this 14-year-old girl. Her name is Elizabeth Romero. She is believed to have been kidnapped by Edwardo Flores Rosales on Wednesday from Kennewick, Washington." (Via WTXF)
Her family believes she's with 19-year-old Rosales, and they say he could be en route to Mexico with her. (Via KSAZ)
According to KCPQ, Romero was last seen getting into a green Ford Escape with a temporary Washington license plate.
She was reportedly wearing a white tank top and dark pants and carrying a backpack and pink purse when she went missing. (Via KOMO)
The California Highway Patrol has issued an Amber Alert. And Romero's story is the second such case to make headlines this week.
The family of 13-year-old Samantha Dodson says she ran away from her Oregon home Tuesday and could be with a 40-year-old man who authorities have identified as Kelsey McCune. (Via KOIN)
According to police, the two may be looking for places to camp in the Oregon City area and could also be using public transportation to get around.
The FBI has joined in on the search since Dodson was reported missing, and her sister, Sarah, begged her to come home Thursday. (Via KGW-TV)

Police are asking anyone with information on either of these missing girls to call 911 immediately.
