BET Pre-Awards Show Parties Marred By Attacks

Fights at two night clubs hosting BET pre-show parties have left one dead and five injured. As of Sunday, both suspects were still at large.

The Hollywood area saw two attacks Saturday night at pre-awards show parties just a couple miles apart. First, a stabbing. 

"During a BET awards show pre-party a man was stabbed in the night club." (Via KCAL)

"This happened around 9 at a club called Lure. ... One person stabbed ... we talked to LAPD and they say they are still looking for a suspect." (ViaKNBC)

And, only 8 hours later, a fatal shooting. 

​"LAPD says multiple people were shot at an after hours event at a club called Monalizza." (Via KNBC)

"Witnesses say there is a lot of blood on the sidewalk, the LAPD says the killer remains on the loose." (Via KCAL)

The stabbing happened at Club Lure. No one else was injured and the victim is reportedly in stable condition. The Hollywood Reporter reports rapper The Game was inside the club but was not involved in the altercation. (Via The Hollywood Reporter, YouTube / Beau McGavin)

Just eight hours later a man was shot to death outside the club Monalizza where an after hours party was being held. Four others were injured. Their conditions have not yet been released. (Via KABC, YouTube / Dprodusa)

The two clubs are just more than two miles apart. Both were hosting parties ahead of the upcoming BET Awards Show. LAPD is still searching for suspects in both cases and says both incidents started as fights. (Via Google)
