FBI Director James Comey has confirmed there's an investigation into links between Russia and Donald Trump's presidential campaign.

"The FBI, as part of our counterintelligence mission, is investigating the Russian government's efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election, and that includes investigating the nature of any links between individuals associated with the Trump campaign and the Russian government," Comey said during a House Select Intelligence Committee hearing.

The president has repeatedly pushed back against the claim that members of his campaign team and Russia colluded during the election.

At least four members of Trump's team were reportedly examined by the FBI. Michael Flynn, Trump's initial pick for his national security adviser, was fired after lying about a conversation he had with a Russian ambassador.

multi-agency report from the director of national intelligence from January found Russia made efforts to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
