One suspect is in custody after an off-duty Memphis police officer was shot and killed Sunday evening in Cordova, Tennessee.

Police have identified the officer as 31-year-old Terence Olridge, a one year veteran of the Memphis force. Family members told WHBQ that Olridge was shot multiple times outside of his home as he was leaving for work. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

"We do have one suspect in custody. But again, the details are very, very sketchy," Memphis Police Director Toney Armstrong told WMC-TV.

Olridge's fiance is four months pregnant with the couple's first child. This is the second Memphis police officer to be shot and killed in 72 days and the fourth in just over four years.
