More details have emerged in the capture of "affluenza" teen Ethan Couch.

"What we had suspected all along had happened: that they had planned to disappear, that they had something that was almost akin to a going away party before they left town," Tarrant County Sheriff Dee Anderson said in a news conference.

Tarrant County Sheriff Dee Anderson said in a news conference Tuesday an arrest warrant will be issued for Couch's mother, Tonya.

Anderson said the Couches drove their pickup truck across the border into Mexico in a "planned escape." It's unclear when the alleged departure took place.

These new details come less than a day after authorities detained the pair in the Mexican beach resort town of Puerto Vallarta.

Ethan Couch made national headlines in 2013 when he avoided jail time after drunkenly crashing his car into a vehicle on the side of the road, killing four people.

A psychologist testified the teen had "affluenza," or that he was too rich and coddled by his parents to understand the consequences of his actions. He received probation. (Video via WFAA)

But a video surfaced online that appeared to show Couch drinking, a violation of his probation. Shortly thereafter, a warrant for his arrest was issued after his probation officer reported him missing along with his mother.

According to several reports, Mexico will likely deport the Couches to Texas by plane Tuesday.
