The state of California is known for wonderful weather, amazing beaches and supposedly having the best public colleges in the nation, too.
According to a new report from the Center for World University Rankings, four California colleges rank in the top 10 of the U.S.' best public universities.
The University of California, Berkeley takes the cake, ranking as the best public university and the seventh best university, public or private, worldwide.
Behind UC Berkeley, the University of California, Los Angeles, the University of California, San Diego and the University of California, San Francisco round out the top 10 at No. 2, No. 4 and No. 6 respectively.
And if owning the public university list wasn't enough, two private California colleges also rank high on the private list, too.
Stanford University placed second in both national rank and worldwide rank.
And the California Institute of Technology ranked 11th on the list of private colleges nationally.
The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Texas at Austin also ranked in the top 10 on the publicly-funded list.
