A Texas police officer charged with manslaughter has been fired from her job.
The Dallas Police Department announced Monday that it terminated Amber Guyger because her arrest qualified as "adverse conduct."
Guyger is facing charges for shooting 26-year-old Botham Jean. She says she shot him after accidentally walking into the wrong apartment. She thought it was her unit and she was being robbed.
Guyger had been an officer in Dallas since 2013. She is allowed to appeal her termination.
