Former Subway pitchman Jared Fogle entered a federal court in Indianapolis to plead guilty to engaging in sexual conduct with a minor and the distribution and receipt of child pornography.
Federal documents released ahead of Fogle’s court appearance say he had been engaging in sexual acts with minors since at least 2007.
It also says he knowingly received child pornography from Russell Taylor, the director of his foundation for fighting childhood obesity. Taylor was arrested in April and charged with several crimes after investigators say they found hundreds of videos and images of child porn in his home. (Video via WRTV)
The plea deal submitted to the judge orders Fogle to pay out $1.4 million to his 14 victims. Each victim will get $100,000.
Subway initially said it was shocked by the allegations against Fogle before suspending its relationship with him. The chain now says it’s ended its relationship with Fogle.
According to the plea deal, Fogle is facing between 5 and 12 years in prison. (Video via WTHR)
