A federal judge ruled Florida's system that felons have to use to get their voting rights reinstated is unconstitutional.
Florida and just three other states require former felons to apply to a clemency board, rather than getting the right to vote back after serving jail time.
Now, 1.5 million Floridians are eligible to restore their right to vote. Residents will get to vote on a constitutional amendment to restore ex-felons' voting rights automatically after their sentence is complete.
