The man accused of allegedly mailing package bombs to high-profile Democrats, CNN and others has been charged in a 30-count indictment.

A federal grand jury in New York charged suspect Cesar Sayoc Friday on five counts each for six different offenses. If convicted, he faces life in prison.

He was previously charged with five counts that carry a maximum jail sentence of 48 years. Authorities say the suspect sent 16 bombs across the country, including to former president Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Robert De Niro.

The FBI arrested the suspect in Florida less than five days after the first bomb was found. Federal prosecutors said they found DNA evidence linking him to 10 of the bombs and fingerprints on two others. None of the devices exploded.
