A 17-year-old shot two students Antioch High School in Nashville, Tennessee, on Wednesday, killing one of them, officials said.
"One female student has died. The other is in stable condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center," Metropolitan Nashville Police Departmet spokesperson Don Aaron said.
The shooter reportedly started firing shots into the school's cafeteria around 11 a.m. before dying from self-inflicted gunshot wound.
A student in the cafeteria said it was chaotic as people tried to find safety.
"People were just trying to get out. It's understandable. I mean, everyone has their own way of surviving," the studen said.
