Police in Lake Wylie, South Carolina, say an elderly man passed away Monday while performing CPR on his longtime wife.

WSOC reports Dave and Corrine Molter were found by their friend and caregiver who described the couple as "best friends."

BRANDY WILLIAMS: "Just being there and seeing it for my own eyes, it's just true love like no other. The kind you see in movies not the kind you see in real life."

Both Dave, who was 84 years old, and Corrine, who was 83, reportedly died of natural causes according to a coroner's report obtained by the Charlotte Observer

The Inquisitr reports the Molters, who had been married more than 60 years, lived alone together in a house Dave had built himself and their home was always a point of pride for him.

Friends of the couple say Corrine developed Alzheimer's later in life and Dave was constantly at her side. He would even follow her on walks throughout their neighborhood to ensure she wouldn't get lost.

Examiner quotes one of their friends as saying: "It's almost fitting I guess that the two of them are going to be together forever. He really loved her. We all knew if something ever happened, he'd take care of her."

There are no autopsies planned because no foul play is suspected at their home. The couple is survived by a son and daughter.
