Donations are pouring in for a New Jersey waitress and Marine Corps veteran after she received an insulting note in place of a tip.

Dayna Morales says she served a family of four at the Gallop Asian Bistro on Wednesday without any problems — until she saw the bill.

"It says, 'I'm sorry, but I cannot tip because I do not agree with your lifestyle and how you live your life.'" (Via WABC)

Outraged, Morales sent the insulting note to the Facebookpage for the LGBT blog Have A Gay Day. She attached her own message saying, "I am THOROUGHLY offended mad pissed off and hurt that THIS is what her kids will grow up learning and that I served in the Marines to keep ignorant people like them free."

Now generous supporters are making up for Morales' lost tip in spectacular fashion. CNN reports the waitress has already received more than $2,000 in Paypal donations.

Separately, the restaurant where Morales works has pledged to match those donations with a contribution to a local LGBT organization. The restaurant's general manager told Today the family who stiffed Morales is not welcome back. "It's the most outlandish thing I've ever heard in my entire life. There's no reason for anything like that to happen." (Via NBC)

Morales says she plans to give her proceeds from this incident to the Wounded Warrior Project, a nonprofit organization devoted to helping injured veterans.
