The Boston Globe's delivery service wasn't getting papers to readers on time or, in some cases, at all.

So, on Sunday, over 100 Globe reporters and staffers delivered it themselves

"We put so much time into finding stories, writing stories, reporting stories, but if people can't read them, our work is lost — for those who want to read it in the physical paper," a Boston Globe reporter told NECN.

"This was something that the reporters actually raised their hands to do. Nobody asked us to do this. We wanted to do it," a Boston Globe reporter told WBZ-TV.

The makeshift delivery team rallied after The Globe apologized to readers who hadn't received their newspapers due to a rough transition between delivery services earlier in the week. (Video via WFXT)

One Boston Globe sports reporter even voiced his own frustration, tweeting: "I'm a Globe employee. I'm also a reader angry with 0 papers at home this week. I'll be out helping to get you Sunday's Globe. Stay with us."
