A survivor of last week's school shooting in Florida accused CNN of giving him scripted questions to ask during the network's recent town hall.

According to WPLG, Colton Haab said he decided not to go to Wednesday's event after he claims he was asked about the scripted questions.

The 17-year-old junior helped shield his classmates with Kevlar sheets during the shooting.

Haab told the outlet: "I don't think that it's going to get anything accomplished. It's not going to ask the true questions that all the parents and teachers and students have."

CNN denied Haab's accusation in a statement on Twitter, saying: "There is absolutely no truth to this. CNN did not provide or script questions for anyone in last night's town hall, nor have we ever."

The town hall featured students, parents and staff from the community around Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
