A New York city woman is now a millionaire because of some good luck she found in her Chinese takeout.

WCBS reports 75-year-old Emma Duvoll used the numbers from a fortune cookie on a Powerball ticket, which ended up landing her a $2 million prize. In the past, Duvoll tried using numbers from birthdays and anniversaries, but that didn't work out.

Duvoll told the New York Post she decided to use those numbers because she had heard that other people had luck playing with their fortune cookie numbers before.

And it paid off. Duvoll also told the New York Daily News she only plays the lottery about once a month and called the win "unbelievable."

CNN reports Duvoll isn't the first person to win with fortune cookie numbers. In 2005, more than 100 people hit the same Powerball numbers using numbers from fortune cookies. They each won about $100,000.

So what is the great-grandmother planning to do with her prize?

News 12 Long Island reports Duvoll plans to invest her new winnings, and she might even take a trip over to Switzerland.

After taxes, Duvoll will take home a lump sum of about $1.2 million.
