It's Oscar Sunday, and Hollywood is preparing to host some of the big screen's biggest names. But could the rain ruin Hollywood's night?
ABC reports Southern California has already gotten its fair share of rain since a powerful storm moved through this weekend. Some areas got up to a foot of desperately needed rainfall, causing flooding in the L.A. area.
And to prepare ahead of the storm, CBS reports crews rolled out the red carpet earlier than usual and wrapped it in plastic.
KABC points out even the Oscar statues were covered in plastic just to stay dry from the rain.
Once the storm moved out, KNBC flew over the red carpet Saturday night as workers prepping the area took down tents that protected the famous walkway from all that rain.
The Weather Channel is forecasting a 30 percent chance of rain in the L.A. area throughout the day — and the rain chances go down to 20 percent Sunday night.
But, in the off chance that it does rain, the Los Angeles Times reports some of Hollywood's biggest stars are using waterproof makeup and extra hairspray to keep their hair from getting frizzy.
We're no weather experts here, but it's probably a good idea for the stars — or their assistants —to pack an umbrella with them just in case.
