Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson is changing his department's mission statement.

HUD's new statement will reportedly do away with language emphasizing inclusive and discrimination-free communities.

And according to HuffPost, a department official said the new statement reflects Carson's priorities for the agency.

The new mission reportedly is to "ensure Americans have access to fair, affordable housing and opportunities to achieve self-sufficiency." It's unclear if that's the final language.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services also changed its mission statement this year. It got rid of the line that said the U.S. is a "nation of immigrants."
