Late last year, the Department of Health and Human Services quietly took down a fact sheet on lesbian and bisexual health from its women's health website, according to a recent report from the Sunlight Foundation.

That has some advocates and health experts concerned about discrimination against the LGBTQ community by the HHS.

That's because the community is more vulnerable when it comes to health care. Studies have shown LGBTQ individuals often have poorer access to health care than heterosexual individuals. And discriminatory experiences can cause them to delay or avoid doctor visits.

Nearly a quarter of LGBTQ women report discrimination against gay, lesbian and bisexual people by doctors.

The now-missing page provided information on the kinds of challenges lesbian and bisexual women would face in the system and how they could be proactive about their health care.

The department says all the information was moved to other sections of the website, though it's not clear which pages it was moved to. The Sunlight Foundation said it couldn't find the information elsewhere on the website.
