'Jeopardy!' Champ Julia Collins Ends Impressive Win Streak

'Jeopardy!' contestant Julia Collins has finally lost after 20 straight wins. She ended her streak as the winningest female in the show's history.

After winning 20 consecutive "Jeopardy!" games, contestant Julia Collins' impressive streak on the show has come to an end.

Thirty-one-year-old Collins lost during her 21st appearance, which aired Monday night. And the clue that finally stumped her? (Via MSNBC)

"Category is Oscar-Winning Writers, and here is the clue. Winning for 1999, this New England writer is the last person to win an Oscar for adapting his own novel." (Via ​Columbia TriStar Television / "Jeopardy!")

But she went out a good sport. Collins tweeted her congratulations to Monday night's winner and thanked her fans for all their support and good wishes during her historic run.

Even though Collins couldn't make it past 20 consecutive wins, she really can't be too disappointed.

The Chicago-land native left the show as the winningest female contestant in "Jeopardy!" history and now holds the second place spot for most consecutive wins behind Ken Jennings, who won 74 straight games in 2004. (Via CNN, The New York Times)

Oh, and she also pocketed a whopping $428,000 in winnings, which she told reporters she's using to take a dream trip to Paris and other travel destinations. (Via ABC)
