A massive winter storm continues to move eastward bringing heavy snow, ice and frigid cold to states across the country.

A major winter storm bringing snow, ice and frigid conditions continues to pack a punch as it moves east.

Areas that have already been hit have seen their share of snow and ice. Parts of the Denver area have been slammed with up to a foot of snow and temperatures close to zero.  (Via KMGH)

And parts of Northern Minnesota been hit even harder with snow accumulation totals closer to two feet. (Via KMSP)

Many roads are now looking like this — coated with ice or covered with snow.

Now states like Oklahoma, Arkansas and Tennessee are under ice storm warnings until Friday evening. Additionally, a winter storm warning stretching all the way from Texas to Ohio is in effect, while parts of Oregon and California are also under a warning. (Via WFXT)

This massive system has plunged a large part of the country into a deep freeze. Even parts of Texas have experienced temperatures as low as the teens and single digits. (Via The Weather Channel)

During the night, cities in Montana have seen some of the coldest conditions nationwide. Lows in cities all over the state are in the negative double digits. The wind chills are even worse — some being reported lower than negative 40. (Via KRTV)

As of Friday morning, snow was falling in more than 10 states stretching from Texas to Maine.
