When you've been married for 57 years, things like anniversaries can still be just as important as they were in the beginning of the marriage.
Jim Russell clearly knows this. On his wedding anniversary, he surprised his wife, Elinor, who's been in the hospital for the past month. Pictures taken by the couple's granddaughter show Jim wore a tux and brought Elinor flowers and chocolates.
Adorable. Such a gentleman! And the "Fox & Friends" anchors seemed to agree.
"How sweet is that?" Heather Nauert said.
"What a romantic story!" Steve Doocy replied.
"That's love. Oh, my word, I love that," Elisabeth Hasselbeck said.
Their granddaughter, Reid, posted the photos on Twitter Wednesday, and since then they've been retweeted more than 26,000 times. Everyone loves some love.
Jim, who is a World War II veteran, told ABC he's known Elinor "since she was in pigtails." Though the couple doesn't always celebrate their anniversary in a big way, their children helped Jim come up with the idea to surprise Elinor for the big 5-7.
ABC reports besides the flowers and chocolates, Jim and Elinor watched their favorite TV shows, "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune," and ate a meal in her hospital room.
Now Jim is going to have to top that for their 58th. We're sure he'll come up with something.
