Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students were given clear backpacks on Monday. It's a new safety rule from the Broward County School Board in the wake of a school shooting in Parkland, Florida, that left 17 people dead.
Not all students are fans of the change. Student Josh Gallagher said, "This clear backpack idea is to give us kids a false sense of security and now has enraged most of the students here at MSD." Other students say the move violates their privacy.
There's also an increased police presence at the school. Florida Highway Patrol officers are guarding entrances.
