An unknown number of gunmen killed two people and wounded multiple others in an apartment shooting in Miami early Tuesday.

"It really seemed like victim after victim rushed into the door at Ryder Trauma here. And I want to add that a spokesperson of the City of Miami Fire and Rescue told me that this is now being called a 'mass casualty shooting.'" (Via WTVJ)

According to local station WTVJ, a victim family identified as 30-year-old Kevin Richardson died at the scene. The second died later at the hospital. He's been identified as 26-year-old Nakiel Jackson. (Via WPTV)

Reports from several media outlets continued to raise the number of those hospitalized from four to nine. As of late Tuesday morning, the Miami Herald reports 10 others were treated for gunshot wounds and one 17-year-old girl is in critical condition.

Police do not have any suspects, but authorities told Herald reporters they believe the gunmen had a specific target in mind — that's based on evidence from the scene, including more than 50 shell casings recovered outside the apartment. (Via Miami Herald)

The shooting happened around 2 a.m. Tuesday near 65th Street and 12th Avenue in Miami's Liberty City neighborhood. WFOR spoke with a witness near the apartment. (Via WTVT)
