On Tuesday, Michael Avenatti pleaded not guilty to multiple counts in multiple cases, including charges of stealing $300,000 from his former client Stormy Daniels.

The high-profile attorney is accused of stealing part of Daniels' advance for her book deal.

Avenatti once represented Daniels, who said she had an affair with President Donald Trump before he became commander-in-chief.

This is just one of multiple legal cases Avenatti is facing. Prosecutors say he also tried to extort more than $20 million from Nike in exchange for not releasing what he said was damaging information about the company during the NCAA basketball tournament.

He's also facing wire fraud, bank fraud and other charges after being accused of stealing millions from some of his clients in California. He pleaded not guilty to those charges in April.
