The Northeast is gearing up for yet another winter storm to push through this weekend.
Crews in Pennsylvania are getting ready to take care of the roads ahead of this storm. Friday night, WPVI forecasted two to five inches of snow in Philadelphia, while areas to the north could see five to eight inches.
And a little further north in the Boston area, WBZ-TV is reporting even higher snow totals.
METEOROLOGIST: "But it's four to eight in Eastern Massachusetts. Just outside of Boston, points north and west, eight to 12 inches is expected."
The snow has already started in some places. WCAU showed light snow falling at the Pocono Mountains Saturday morning ahead of heavier snow expected later Saturday.
And near the Great Lakes, there was even more snow. KYW-TV reports Oswego County, New York was getting up to five inches of snow per hour at times earlier this week. This area is expected to be hit again this weekend.
According to AccuWeather, more than 100 million people will be affected by this storm — a storm that NBC says is the biggest winter storm so far this season.
The National Weather Service has placed an area stretching from Maine to Kansas under winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories.
NBC reports the storm is expected to begin moving out sometime Sunday.
