Here's what typically goes down: Customers pay to get a limited amount of time to smash items that they bring in or that the business provides. The rage rooms offer protective clothing and even put on music.

While demographics vary from rage room to rage room, several owners say women are their biggest customers.

From what some psychologists say, the long-term benefits seem a little iffy. But in the short term, customers seem to be pretty stoked to smash.
