President Donald Trump says he'll keep Attorney General Jeff Sessions around — at least until November when midterm elections take place.

In an interview with Bloomberg News Thursday, Trump called the Russia investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller illegal and criticized Sessions for not helping to put it to an end. Sessions recused himself from the probe last year, prompting harsh and continuous criticism by the president.

Thursday he told the outlet, "I do question what Jeff is doing."

And last week Trump said Sessions "never took control of the Justice Department," which Sessions quickly rebuffed.

But despite Trump's unhappiness with Sessions, when asked if he would keep him employed past midterms, Bloomberg reports, Trump declined to answer.
