'Steve Jobs' Is ... An Italian Fashion Brand?

An Italian fashion brand recently won the right to use the name "Steve Jobs."

Steve Jobs is probably best known as one of the co-founders of Apple. But "Steve Jobs" is also the name of ... an Italian fashion company.

That's right. "Steve Jobs" is the registered brand name of a business that makes jeans, sneakers, T-shirts and other clothes.

The company's style is a far cry from Jobs' signature outfit, but something tells us the business' founders weren't really going for his look. They just wanted his name, which Apple never trademarked.

The fashion company founders trademarked the name themselves, but that of course didn't sit well with Apple. So the two companies have been fighting legal battles over the name for years.

But "Steve Jobs" the fashion brand might have the upper hand for now. An Italian outlet reports a recent court battle ruled because the letter "J" isn't edible, the fashion brand's logo isn't copying the iconic bite mark and leaf of Apple's logo.
