As flooding in Texas and Oklahoma continue to worsen, death tolls in regions continue to rise. As of Tuesday morning, eight people were confirmed dead with even more missing.

In Texas, among the victims are at least two teenagers. One was 18-year-old Alyssa Ramirez, who was killed on her way home from prom. (Video via KSAT)
"She was a good person. She was always competitive," Ramirez's friend Amber Contreras told WOAI.
"Her car stalled out in high water on FM 2200, just a couple miles away from her home," WOAI reports.
And in Desoto, Texas, authorities believe a 14-year-old boy was swept away into a storm drain while walking his family's dogs.
"Damien's family called police when only one dog came home wet and muddy," KXAS reported.
"He was funny. He had a good sense of humor and was a well-mannered child," neighbor Kimberley Carson told KXAS.
In Wimberley, Texas, where 12 are reported missing, a family of four is now missing after their home filled with water and eventually floated down the river. The sister of Laura McComb, a mother of a four-year-old girl and six-year-old boy, spoke with KVUE. (Video via KXAN)
"We all know and we have accepted that they're gone. ... 1:00 in the morning she called me she said 'I'm in a house. I'm floating down the river. Tell mom and dad, 'I love you,' and pray,'" Julie Shields told KVUE.
Laura's husband Jonathan was rescued with multiple injuries and is recovering at a nearby hospital. More rainfall is expected in the area in the coming days.
