At least one person is dead and another may be missing following a winter storm that pummeled the southeast over the weekend.
Police in North Carolina say one person died after a tree fell on their vehicle while they were driving. The car then went off the road and hit a church. And law enforcement is searching for the driver of a tractor-trailer that was found in a river. It isn't clear if anyone was in the truck when it went into the water, though.
The storm brought up to 24 inches of snow in some places.
Charlotte Douglas International Airport canceled more than 1,000 flights on Sunday, while other Southeast airports canceled hundreds.
As of Monday morning, hundreds of thousands of people were still without power.
