South Sudan is facing another famine, according to a number of international aid organizations.

According to the reports, without outside help almost two-thirds of the country will be "severely food insecure" by May.

Nearly half of the population is already having trouble finding enough food each day. That's a 40 percent increase in people facing food crisis compared to January 2017.

There are a number of factors behind the crisis, including conflict, economic collapse and drought.

The World Food Programme says it's hoping to provide aid to 4.4 million people this year but needs continued access to the country to help offset the famine.
